ABOUT US
We are supporting children and young people from Turkish, Kurdish and other ethnic minority backgrounds with their education.
Inclusion
All our children and young people are provided with the necessary resources to be successful learners, regardless of their background or ability. We ensure our members of teaching staff create a developmental plan to identify the curriculum areas in which each individual child needs to focus on and put an individual support plan in place to address these. Having passion to learn ensures children have high aspirations in life which stands them in good stead for their future careers, opens opportunities for them and let them achieve fulfilment and purpose. Also, having a passion for learning is about demonstrating curiosity and making the most of opportunities to learn, improve and innovate.
Excellence
Each child and every young person in our Supplementary School develops key transferable life skills so that they achieve their very best, acquire skills and knowledge and build character as well as competence in lifelong learning. These skills are mainly problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration and effective communication. These are the kinds of important skills students are challenged to use throughout their academic experiences and in all areas of life. We also motivate them by taking their learning much deeper so they have a passion for learning and embrace values such as hard working, creativity and leadership to achieve their very best.
Making a Diffrence
Our services are in place to make a positive difference to the community by providing the right support at right time and when they need it. During the Coronavirus pandemic we have adapted all our education for remote delivery. We continued to provide supplementary education to children to enable them to access appropriate support and online classes and one to one interactive sessions to that was convenient to them and ensure families received help and support as their children’s education has been disrupted due to the pandemic. So, that parents and children had access to real options to address educational disadvantage and underachievement as it is presently the case.
