The Turkish and Kurdish Children’s Group is an incorporated charitable organisation designed to have a positive impact on children and young people with their studies, confidence and self-esteem. Our mission is to improve the educational attainments of children and young people by providing sessions in a safe and relaxed place by our experienced and qualified staff. We understand that private tutoring is costly for those from disadvantaged backgrounds, so the purpose of our supplementary school is to give these families the opportunity to access our services. A national survey found that 8 out of 10 pupils who attended a supplementary school said it helped them with their mainstream school work. This is significant as it shows a need for our services where children and young people can flourish and exceed their expected grades.
